Book Club Update:  Our book for April is "Bad Girls of the Bible, What We Can Learn from Them" by Liz Curtis Higgs.  We read about various women as portrayed in the Bible with a modern twist.  Our next meeting is Wednesday April 17 at 11am in the Library. CRS Rice Bowl: As our CRS Rice Bowl journey comes to an end, may the Eucharist continue to transform our lives and help us respond to God’s call to serve our global family. Let us commit to sharing the joy of the Resurrection with people in our local community and around the world. Don’t forget to turn in your CRS Rice Bowl to Beloved Disciple by March 31st.

Liturgical Environment News: We have crossed the midpoint of Lent and Holy Week is fast approaching! The Liturgical Environment Committee is once again asking for assistance as we transform our sanctuary. Dates and times for upcoming work sessions will be posted on the work room door (across from the restrooms). We look forward to working with you!

 

Knights of Columbus Free Throw Winners! Congratulations to Maddie and Jude Osborn of Grove City for winning the Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Championship Saturday March 9th in York, PA!! Maddie went 25-25 and Jude 22-25 winning in a four round shootout!!! Also representing our Grove City council was David Welch of Stoneboro who placed second by making 18 of 25. Maddie and Jude are children of Doug and Amber Osborn of our Beloved Disciple Parish. If you see them please offer your heartfelt congratulations!,

Faith Formation

The start time on CLASS days is 9:15 and on FAMILY days is 9:30. All sessions will run until 10:45.  Grades 6-7-8 who are in the EDGE program will meet in the triple classroom beginning on January 7th, NOT at the K of C. The calendar for all of 2024 can be found on the Faith Formation page.

Faith Formation Update: Beginning on Sunday, February 18th (**Change of Date**) we will be offering Adult Faith Formation for all members of the parish. We will begin by entering into the beautiful mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist. The church is currently in the second year of the National Eucharistic Revival, a movement to renew the church in understanding and devotion to the Eucharist. Our sessions will be held on regularly scheduled class days for kindergarten through 8th grade from 9:15 to 10:45 in the day Chapel. Please consider joining us, learning more about the Source and Summit of our Faith, so that we might bring about renewal, joy and hope to our lives to our parish and to a suffering world. Upcoming Events

  • Community Blood Drive at the Knights of Columbus Hall Monday, March 25 from 2 — 6:30pm. Blood is in low supply and there is a critical demand for it; please consider donating.
  • The Spirit Thursday Morning Bible Study has resumed meeting at 10am in the Schleigh Library. PLEASE COME AND JOIN US. (Please enter through the Faith Formation Entrance.)
  • The Legion of Mary meets in the library every Monday at 7:00pm. Join us to see what we are about!
  • You are welcome to join the parshioners who meet every Tuesday at the church at 6:00pm to pray the rosary for our priests, our Church, our country, the unborn, those who are ill, souls in Purgatory and many other intentions.
