Year of Prayer: In preparation for the 2025 Jubilee Year 'Pilgrims of Hope', 2024 has been designated a Year of Prayer by Pope Francis. There is a particular focus on the Our Father, and this presents us with a great opportunity to go back to the basics of prayer. The Year of Prayer,  the Holy Father explained is dedicated "to rediscovering the great value and absolute need for prayer, prayer in personal life, in the life of the Church; prayer in the world."

Starting Sunday May 5 from 10:00 to 10:45am we will explore the Year of Prayer. Sessions will be held in the Chapel.  There will be sign-up sheet in the Gathering area. Please contact Deacon Owen with any questions.  All are welcome to learn and explore the Year of Prayer..

Thank You ! Thank You! Thank You!
On behalf of our Grove City Knights of Columbus Council Officers we want to THANK YOU for all the good help that you as parishioners of Beloved Disciple and members of our council did to make another successful Fish dinner in 2024. Without the help of many of you it would not be possible to be so successful. We all enjoyed being together in the good fellowship and as we always we like to say, "IT TAKES A TEAM" and we truly are blessed for what you offered us. Thanks to all that patronized us also. We would not be able to contribute to the many worthwhile causes in our parish and local community if not for this worthwhile event ! May God bless each and every one of you and your families.

Thank you to all the Beloved Disciple bakers who donated to our Friday Fish Dinners! We had many compliments on the variety of delicious baked goods and how hard it was to choose their dessert each week! Again, thank you to the all the bakers and we hope to see you again next year! A Message from Bishop Persico
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
Over the course of my lifetime, I have met many priests who have given their lives to the service of our Lord and His people. By their ministry, they have made a positive impression on me and inspired me in my vocation as a priest and now as your Bishop. I imagine that, like me, many of you have feelings of gratitude for the ministry of the priests who have served you so well over the years in the Diocese of Erie.
On the weekend of April 20 – 21, the annual Good Shepherd Collection for retired diocesan priests will be taken in our parishes. This is your opportunity to express your gratitude with your financial gift to help these priests who spent their lives in service to the Church. We look to you, the members of our Diocese, to help us with the care of our priests who are retired now and those who will retire in future years.
I know first-hand how generous our people are in responding to the needs of the Church in the Diocese of Erie. I thank you in advance for your generosity also to the Good Shepherd Collection to support our retired diocesan priests.
Finally, I ask you to remember all our priests in your prayers. Pray for those who are currently serving you and those who have retired and those who have died. Pray for vocations to the priesthood, that others may follow in the footsteps of those who have given their lives as good shepherds leading you, the People of God, through their ministry. I wish you and your families a blessed Easter Season.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
+Lawrence T. Persico, The Most Reverend Lawrence T. Persico, JCL Bishop of Erie
