Book Study with Paul Kengor:
Beginning on Sunday, January12th, we will be starting a four-week book study with Dr. Paul Kengor. We will be reading and discussing his newest book entitled The Stigmatists. We will
meet in the church library from 9:15-10:45am for each of the four Sundays. This event is open to everyone, please come and bring a friend! Paul’s book is available through TAN books, EWTN Religious Catalog, and Amazon.
Parish Book Club News: Our next book is The Lonely-Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore. Our next meeting is on Wednesday January 22 at 11am in the Parish Library. Contact Deacon Owen with questions in the Parish Office at ext. 110.
Grove City Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest: The Grove City Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a basketball free throw shooting contest on Sunday, January 26, for all boys and girls ages of 9-14 years of age. Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of January 1. The contest will be held at the Grove City YMCA starting at 1:00pm. Participants must bring with them a birth certificate for proof of age. Winners in each age group will then be eligible to participate in the next level of competition at the regional level in Erie sometime in February. Adult Faith: Old Testament Prophets: Tuesday, January 21st at 5:30pm, we will review who the Old Testament Prophets were and how they impact us in our Faith Journey. Dinner is served at 5:30pm in the Faith Formation building. We start the "Learning" session at 6pm via video, lecture and activities. We will meet two Tuesday's each month throughout the year. A lot of information and good food. Join us and all are welcome.
Order of Christian Initiation for Adult: All members of the Parish and those interested in learning more about the Catholic Chruch are invited to learn more about the Catholic Church, what we believe and why we believe. We will study the Liturgy, Tradition, Sacraments and other topic of interest for new members and those that would like to refresh their understanding of the Catholic Church. NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE! Join us on Friday, January 24, 2025, in Washington, D.C. Together, we gather to celebrate life! We celebrate life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death, and every moment in between. The bus will leave from Beloved Disciple’s parking lot late evening Thursday, January 23rd and will return on Friday, January 24th in the evening. The bus for the March for Life is full so please do not send reservation to Church of the Epiphany in Meadville.
